The best laid plans

I cannot be getting sick. Not with all there is to do. It’s obscene. It feels like the flu. And 15 people coming over day after tomorrow AND I haven’t gone shopping yet. It’s horrible. I was out today getting things for Fangsgiving, and started feeling horrid. And about 8 times out of 10 I don’t get a little sick, I get a LOT sick. And I was just a lot sick three weeks ago.

And I have some kind of weird eye infection.

And I also have an emergency dental visit tomorrow. Oh freaking joy.

And the bathrooms still need to be cleaned and the rest of the laundry done.

I’m popping cold eze like candy. So much for getting some writing done. That will be AFTER this holiday.

I have a feeling I may be scaling back the plans for Thursday. crap. Maybe not, maybe I can manage a couple of appetizers and I can put my sister in charge of the cocktails (I got cool mixers to make some exotic things, I think, maybe). I can shop, dentist, brine and make the pies tomorrow, oh yeah and finish the laundry and neaten the downstairs. Then Thursday I can make the side dishes (dressing, sweet potatoes, brown sugar carrots and James can clean a bathroom or two. And if I’m not coughing up a lung and rolling around in pain shooting pus out of my eyes and teeth out of my mouth, it might work.
