And now for something (a little) different.

Started thinking about Halloween music tonight. Because if I hear “The Monster Mash” one more damn time I’m going to find a cleaver and pay a visit to whatever sound system is playing it.

Ahem. Really. I DESPISE that song. So what don’t I despise?

How about Midnight Syndicate:

Dark Legacy by The Midnight Syndicate

Two, dare I say it, Goth boys who are quite creative and accomplished. They play multiple instruments and compose a sublime array of spooky melodies.

Here’s a favorite:

And Kristen Lawrence whose Halloween Carols I will surely be purchasing!

She’s a classically trained organist who loves Halloween, what is not to like there?!

Are you noticing I have a thing for creepy carnival music? Carnivals verge on the creepy anyway so this music is the gloopy icing on the spider filled cupcake.

But let’s switch gears a bit. What about something spookier?

Best thing to come out of World of Warcraft, other than the lament of the Highborne

A bit of spooky heath, and twisted drawing room to my mind. It sounds great in our graveyard late at night with fog shooting over our zombies and bones.

And some creepy techno from Zombie Girl

and something that just works and I’m not sure why. For Halloween and it makes me want to  dance too.

And of course, the theme to our wedding, our favorite movie ever

goodnight tender lumplings!
